Examining the connection between childhood & adult life through medium, line and colour.

Photographs from my childhood were used as the basis for these self portraits. Revisiting these documented moments in time allowed me to use my own hand to imbue the images with the emotions and imagery I had revised in my pandemic therapy sessions. Frequently this meant the illustrations becoming bastardised monstrous versions of the child that inhabits the photographs; reflecting the span of my precarious self image from childhood until present.
